Workplace wellness is the process of improving a workplace for the employees' health, happiness, positivity, and overall well-being. Making workplace wellness more than a buzzword necessitates thought, consideration, and planning. Increasing employee happiness, on the other hand, improves all other metrics. Because organizational culture scales for better or worse, workplace wellbeing is critical. One of the most amazing aspects about workplace wellness is that it is self-sustaining. To put it another way, happy employees enhance the morale of their coworkers, which improves the work environment and so on. (Song and Baicker, 2019)

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF A SUCCESSFUL WELLNESS PROGRAM IN THE WORKPLACE

·         Cost-cutting

·         Stress reduction

·         Productivity increases

·         Employee burnout is reduced, and retention is improved.

·         Better company spirit + improved communication

HOW DO YOU MEASURE WORKPLACE WELLNESS

An increase in employee happiness is the greatest method to gauge the success of a workplace health program. Creating an environment where employees feel safe and comfortable sharing feedback is an excellent approach to gauge this.

WHAT ARE THE WORKPLACE WELLNESS INCENTIVES USED FOR

Workplace wellness incentives can be used to improve a team's attitude, positivity, and morale, reduce errors and costs associated with human error, promote retention, and save money on high turnover costs. Workplace wellness incentives also lower stress and harmful risk factors while increasing productivity.( Baicker et.al,2010)

THE FOLLOWING ARE A FEW EXAMPLES OF WORKPLACE WELLNESS INCENTIVES THAT HAVE BEEN SHOWN TO INCREASE EMPLOYEE INVOLVEMENT AND RETENTION.

-Teambuilding exercises

-Workweeks of half-days or four days

-Employee recognition software should be used.

-Gifts and bespoke stuff are available.

-Employees should be paid a stipend on a monthly basis.

-Provide health-related activities (virtual wellness classes, etc.)

-Send care packages to your employees.

-Make it possible for people to take mental health days without fear of being judged.

-Encourage cross-departmental learning and collaboration.

WORKPLACE WELLNESS INCENTIVE EXAMPLES

1.      Laughing is a great way to relieve stress.

"Workers can feel like they're all 'in it together' when they laugh together. This fosters a sense of belonging and reduces stress."

2.      Start a Virtual Wellness Program on a Monthly Basis.

Simply participate in their monthly wellness Zoom calls, and the Remote Team Wellness teams will take care of the rest

3.      Gifts/Snacks

Gifts and snacks are an easy way to thank an employee for their hard work and accomplishments.

4.      Experience outside of work

Employees can demonstrate and see a different part of themselves and others through experiences outside of work.

5.      Organize a Virtual Wellness Retreat That Your Employees Will Enjoy

6.      Spirituality and Mental Health

Experts are increasingly recognizing the connection between emotional, spiritual, and physical well-being.(Song et.al,2019)

CONCLUSION

Every company should have a required corporate wellness program. The advantages for both employees and the organization are enormous. A wellness program increases employee happiness, satisfaction, unity, well-being, and a healthy workplace culture.
